FAQs

RunFestRun 2021 will take place on 27-29 August 2021 at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.

RunFestRun will take place alongside Chris Evans’ CarFest, the family festival fundraising millions for UK Children’s Charities.

RunFestRun will operate as originally planned throughout the day, with a fantastic series of runs, designed by the legendary Steve Cram CBE, through the grounds of Laverstoke Park Farm.

When you’re not running you can enjoy inspiring talks from running heroes including Paula Radcliffe and Colin Jackson, family activities, fitness workshops, our shopping village and fabulous street food and drink.

During the evening, RunFestRun visitors will join CarFest to party with headline acts on the main stage including Rick Astley, All Saints, James Blunt, James Bay, McFly and Texas.

CarFest and RunFestRun remain separate festival sites and can be accessed via a bridge over a road and short walk (no more than 5 minutes). A crossing point will be provided for those who are unable to climb stairs.

Many young children enjoy festivals - some of them enjoying live music for the first time on the shoulders of their parents. However, there are some precautions you may wish to take to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for you all.

There will be live music on each day of the event. If you are intent on watching from close quarters we would recommend using ear protection on children for their own comfort. Likewise it is not recommended that young children get too close to the sound systems for the main stage.

The music each evening will go on until 10pm or 11pm. You should use your judgement and knowledge of your children to determine whether they, and therefore you, will find this enjoyable or not.

For hygiene and safety reasons ONLY registered guide dogs and hearing dogs will be allowed in any part of RunFestRun, including the campsite. Dogs cannot be left in vehicles or caravans at any time. Visitors attempting to bring a dog (other than assistance dogs) onto the campsite or festival site will be turned away and no ticket refunds will be available.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to work with the RunFestRun team and understand how the event operates. It’s also a great way to enjoy the festival and work alongside friends and family.

If you would like to apply to be a volunteer please complete the volunteer application form

RunFestRun encourages applications from deaf and disabled people. Assistance will be offered to those who wish to apply.

Please note, you must be over 18 years of age to apply.

Weekend Tickets - Purchased before 25th October 2020

Weekend tickets will give you access to the RunFestRun festival site on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and access to all races on those days. Camping is not included in the ticket and needs to be added at point of purchase. Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, we now have very limited camping availability.

All customers who purchased weekend tickets before 25th October have two nights camping included in their tickets (Friday & Saturday).

Weekend Tickets No Camping:

Due to changes in campsite capacities due to Covid-19 safety precautions of providing additional space between tents, we are now selling a weekend ticket without camping. Weekend tickets with no camping will give you access to the RunFestRun festival site on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and all races on those days.

Camping Passes:

These can only be purchased alongside weekend tickets for the festival. These passes must be purchased per person and include access to the campsite for two nights, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th May, 2021.

The campsite has toilets, showers and catering outlets for food, coffee and soft drinks.

We’re pleased to note that our entire campsite is family friendly - no areas are particularly noisy and all areas have a curfew and hold the same rules.

Glamping options are available to purchase as an add-on to your ticket.

Please note: if you would like to bring a campervan/caravan/trailer tent/sleep-in vehicle you MUST purchase a permit.

Campervan Passes:

These must be purchased alongside a camping pass per person. Only one campervan pass is required for the multiple individuals staying within the campervan.

Day Tickets:

Your day tickets allows you access to the festival site on your chosen day but not the campsite.

All ticket purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

We recommend a strong pair of running shoes suitable for multiple terrains. No map, compass or any other method of navigation is required.

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at this event, except for assistance dogs. No dogs will be allowed on any of the running courses.

All routes will have checkpoints that will be marked on the route maps. These will be emailed to you and available on the website two weeks before the festival.

Checkpoints will offer water and a variety of basic nutrition. These should be treated as a complement to the personal supplies you bring. These will be self-service to comply with covid guidelines.

Listening to music is permitted while running on the courses, but headphones must not be worn within the first km or on the approach to checkpoints. We advise not having your earphones in while going through the festival site, as you’ll miss out on everyone cheering you on!

Refreshments will be made available to purchase via food vendors and a licensed bar. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink into the campsite but not into the festival site.

Don’t panic, plenty of showers and toilets will be provided. Both weekend and day ticket holders will have access to the showers and changing facilities. The showers will be available for the duration of the festival.

Every participant will receive a medal free of charge.

Tickets Purchased Before 25th October 2020

A race t-shirt is included with weekend, Saturday and Sunday adult and child (6-17) tickets and will be available from race registration. Just like the London Marathon, we will be using the RunFestRun 2020 t-shirts that we had printed as this is a more sustainable option than having these reprinted. Please note that we will do our best to allocate sizes, but we cannot guarantee all sizes will be available.

Tickets Purchased after 25th October 2020

T-shirts will not be included in any tickets purchased after the 25th October 2020. This is reflected in the price of the ticket. Limited numbers of t-shirts will be available to purchase onsite at the festival.

Guest Tickets

T-shirts will not be included in any guest tickets, however, you will still receive a chip and bib. Limited numbers of t-shirts will be available to purchase onsite at the festival.

Please note that a condition of entering RunFestRun is that photographs may be used in the future by RunFestRun for marketing purposes.

We will be working with professional photographers to capture photographs of all race participants which will be linked to your race number.

There is no specific charity associated with RunFestRun. You are more than welcome to fundraise for a charity of your choice.

There will be water stations at different points across each route, which will be marked out on the onsite maps of the Festival. These will be self-service to comply with COVID guidelines.

Smoking is not allowed in any of the marquees or structures. Visitors who wish to smoke are asked to respect others by refraining from smoking in busy areas, around children or around food.

Any enquiries about lost property should be made at the Organisers Office. We endeavour to reunite all lost property with its owners after the festival, so please email info@runfestrun.com with details of the item lost once you return home from the festival.

We do not allow picnics to be brought in to the festival. Folding chairs can be brought in and set up beyond the marked out ‘standing only’ area in front of the stage.  Please note, our policy is one chair per person and these chairs must be foldable.

We do not allow gazebos, laysacs, windbreakers or tents. Structures like these block the view of the stage for other RunFestRunners, so please be considerate of your fellow festival goers when setting up your area for the evening and don’t take up too much space!

Most caterers and vendors will take card. However, we will have cash machines on site just in case.
