Families On Track with Paula Radcliffe

Paula Radcliffe is a vocal advocate for family health and fitness and her concept of “Families on Track” encompasses everything she believes in as a runner…but more importantly as a mum! This new exciting event offers an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a safe, fun and competitive event as a unit together. Mum, Dad. Kids, Grandparents, and other family members complete the 10km distance as a continuous relay, in whichever order or combination they decide upon. This offers a unique concept of adults and children running together, embracing exercise, but in a fun race format that can include everyone, no matter what age or ability.

How does it work?

There are 3 laps of varying distances. 1km, 500m and 250m. on a safe enclosed course. Each family must complete 10km total distance in any combination of those distances they chose. (e.g. 6 x 1km 5 x 500m 6 x 250m=10km). Each leg is completed by an individual who then hands over to another family member for the next leg. You can run in any order and run any distance as long as you eventually complete 10km. Changeovers take place in the “Crazy Zone”. This is where the fun happens! Each family will have its own Pen in the Crazy Zone. Sort the changes and cheer each other on. When you complete the distance the whole family group joins together for the Glory Leg up to the Finish Line.

Sunday 30th May

Kids Run Free

Hosted by Kids Run Free, our kids run allows our youngest runners to run as much or as little as they want as we celebrate their achievements along the way. At Kids Run Free, their vision is for children and their families to become healthier, happier and more confident through being active. They reach children and their communities through our running programmes, Park Kids events and Marathon Kids schools, creating Kids Run Free Communities.

Join the fun on Sunday morning as the kids show us how it's done!

Sunday 30th May

Family Fun Run

Sunday is our fun day - and not just because it rhymes - but because it's when we cast the timing chips aside and set you off with your Team Captains for a fun run that just has to be seen to be believed. Collect points for your teams as you complete the RunFestRun Big Bug Fun Run, before partying the day away and celebrating an unparalleled weekend of running highs and memories made.

Babysitting, Funfairs and Kids Activities!

Aside from the epic memory making family runs, we have so much more to make your family's experience one to remember.

All in a Covid compliant manner, the keepers of calm, Mortimer Nannies are thrilled to be returning to RunFestRun. The Nannies will be providing care throughout Saturday daytime, allowing parents to take part in any races and events, safe in the knowledge that the little ones will be having a lovely time. We also have the option of booking both Private ‘in-tent’ Nannies and spaces in our ‘stay up late’  sessions in the yurt – please contact Tanja on for more information or to be added to the waiting list.

Each session will be manned by the Mortimer Team which is made up of qualified Nannies, Child Carers and DBS checked assistants – all who have been carefully vetted and chosen with Festivals in mind. With generous Adult: Child ratios and decades of experience you can be assured that the children will be safe, happy and having just as much fun as you.

The Mortimer Yurt is decked out with board games, fancy dress, toys, crafts and cosy nooks with blankets and beanbags. The Nannies will be keeping their charges busy with a tiring range of messy, crafty, fun activities and outdoor games.

All company proceeds after costs go to War Child.
