We're good to go!

Although the government officially lifted all Covid guidelines and restrictions from the 19th July, we still want to ensure the utmost safety of our visitors at RunFestRun. To ensure that RunFestRun is a safe place for everyone, please take a look at the safety measures we will be implementing:

Ahead of your arrival:

We actively encourage all visitors to take a lateral flow test 24 hours before they leave for RunFestRun. You can get LFT tests from your local pharmacy, on the government website or supermarket pharmacies. Please note if you have been vaccinated we would still advise you to do a LFT as you can still carry Covid.

As a reminder, these are the main Covid symptoms you should look out for when taking a Covid test: a high temperature, a new continuous cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.

If you test positive for Covid-19, you must isolate for 10 days and not come to RunFestRun. (in accordance with the government isolation requirements).

At RunFestRun:

We ask that you maintain social distancing at RunFestRun and are respectful of other peoples' space.

We ask that you wear masks in enclosed/indoor spaces (we have very few of these areas at RunFestRun!).

Your safety is our priority

  • Larger spaces will be allocated to areas where we expect crowds to gather - staff will monitor these areas to encourage social distancing.
  • Increased cleaning of key areas.

  • Races are organised by Events of The North and will adhere to all UKA, Sport England and Government guidelines at the time of the event.
  • There will be no more than 3 races each day over varying distances – with staggered starts, more space and non-contact water stations along the way.
  • All races will require pre-event registration so we can ensure social distancing will be possible.

  • Ticket checks will be contact free.
  • Contactless payments will be encouraged whereever possible throughout the event, although some outlets will accept cash.

  • Increased levels of toilets will be provided across all areas of the site, with increased cleaning and servicing.
  • Hand wash facilities and sanitation stations will be available throughout the festival site. Sinks with fresh running water at each toilet location will also be available.
