At RunFestRun, we are pleased to introduce Estate Running - all terrain running through the beautiful gardens of stately homes, of which Bowood House is one of the UK’s finest.

Bowood has a mix of terrain with compacted gravel, grassy tracks and tarmac pathways across mild to medium gradients throughout the routes.

We will be emailing all runners detailed information on the routes to help plan your runs to perfection.  You can click on our festival map below to download it as a more detailed PDF.

The RunFestRun running schedule

Ease yourself into the weekend with our 'Sunset Shuffle' and The Night Run.

No matter if you are a seasoned distance runner or an expert at getting your kids to school on time in the mornings, Serious Saturday has a run for everyone - our timed routes on Saturday are a 2.5k, 5k, 10k and half marathon. There's also be shorter distances taking place on the festival site for kids to get involved in. RunFestRun tickets include entry into as many runs as you want!

We're also considering holding a marathon during the weekend. If you're keen on this idea, or if you have any other suggestions, then contact us at

Wheelchair users: on Saturday there will be a 3k tarmac course available to compete on - details of this course and its route are to be confirmed. Please visit our accessibility page for more details.

The festival ends with a themed team fun run and mega lunchtime party. Put on your team fancy-dress and join the Big Bug Run & Big Bug Hoe Down.
Bowood becomes Bugwood as the venue is besieged by a swarm of 10,000 giant insects. Take on the 2.5k or 5k Big Bug Run with special challenges and win points for your team.
